System-8 : A plastic, light beast of a synth
As my header says, its plastic, light and comprehensive.
The plastic doesn't bend, feels ok, but still gives me the De-Ja-Vue of these old Casio keyboards of the late 80's. There are plenty -and some!- of editing features, but comes short in timbrality (2 channels max) and polyphony (8 voice max). I actually think my Korg R3 offers a bit of the same, for less money. The sound is offcourse well ok, where the system 8 engine actually covers the already installed plug-outs, so I didn't use them too often. The whole package feels a bit out of balance, quality - wise.
