U-Phoria UMC22 : Does not work with ASIO!!!
I wanted a cheap sound card to use when transferring midi from my e-drums to pc. I was using the standard ASIO drivers (ASIO4ALL) with Cubase, and I was easily achieving latency of 3ms without. Notice: when I say "latency", I am referring only to the output latency. The total latency is about +5ms more, due to the midi transfer.
I needed a sound card because, without a dedicated sound card, I could only hear one sound source (Cubase) and it would be convenient to also have a media player running as well (so I do not do everything through Cubase).
Unfortunately this sound card does not have any drivers. It can only run through the windows audio driver, not even ASIO. This means that it doesn't work with Cubase well (not for me at least) and this also means that I did not get ANY LATENCY reduction. Nothing! Actually, I can get less latency using Cubase+ASIO than using Behringer+Windows!!!
Therefore, if latency matters for you, I do not recommend.
