ASM5 : They do exactly what they're supposed to

I bought them a couple of weeks ago for composing work mainly as the room is pretty small, the monitors should have the proper size as well and decided to go with 5", and this pair seamed like a good choice for a couple of reasons:

price point - very affordable, you don't don't have to break the bank to get them.

sound - they sound very similar to Yamaha's HS5 at lower price. They have a simmilar mid-range scoop and tight bass which makes them very good in working with mid focused instruments, voice and so on.

Cons: I wish there was a bass boost knob. Also, I did a couple of measurements using RoomEQWizard to test the bass roll of knob and from frequency response the impact of that knob is minimal.

Overall I recommend this product to anyone who starts working in studio or on studio stuff and have a small room like myself. Comparing to other 5" monitors, these have cleaner mids and the highs are more balanced.
