These strings are now my favourite!
For a long time, I played D'Addarios, which are nice, but I wanted something that lasts longer. So far, that has definitely been the case with Elixir!
The wound strings feel a little slippery at first, but not in a distracting way. Overall, the tone is just as clear as with D'Addarios.
This set of strings in particular has very even tension across all strings. I play them in D standard which feels light, but not flubby at all.
Considering the increased lifetime and great tone, these strings are definitely worth the extra money over conventional strings.
