Mother-32 : MOOG sound at a price
Update 24/07/17
Just took delivery of a second M32. Have been playing around syncing the seq together and patching from one to the other. Amazing range of tones and sound, If you have one get another one, your gonna love it.
Without a doubt the mother 32 is a good piece of kit. If your looking for that Moog sound at a price then look no further. Filters are excellent and provide a wide range of variation in tone along with modulation and LFO. Knobs are solid and feel precise, however not so sure about the mini toggle switches over time. Patch bay is comprehensive and seems to provide many options but I have only started to play around with this. I had no problem syncing a volca beats and SQ1 with the internal sequencer. Using other CV gear seems with it seems to work ok. Having said that using it with an MS20 mini maybe a problem due to v sync and s sync differences between the two machines. Overall I am very happy with the Mother 32 and will probably get another one.
Pros: great sounds, easy to use and set up, great fun. Connect a MIDI keyboard for even greater fun with the sequencer.
Cons: only has Midi in and no USB which is a serious omission in my opinion, yes plenty of CV and Gate options but USB and or MIDI out would have been good.
