HD-681 Evo BK : Best headphones in this price range.

Other reviewers have already said everything, no need to repeat. These are the greatest headphones in this price range. Period. And I have a Sennheiser HD-650 as my main headphones. I've compared both extensively on an Apogee Groove DAC/AMP. Of course the HD-650 are superior, but not by a huge margin, and the Superlux fares really well and that speaks really a lot! If one is interested in sound differences between both, to me the Superlux sounds a bit more V-shaped, it has more pronounced bass and treble, hence not as neutral as the Sennheisers, but nevertheless I enjoy and love both!

The only complaint I have is about the comfort. The pad openings are just about (or slightly under) the size of my ears, and my ears are normal size, so after few hours of listening I can feel a discomfort in my ears from pads pressing against the rims of the ears. In that respect the Sennheisers are miles ahead, I can leave them all day on my head.

But remember, the Sennheisers are ¤300 and the SuperLux is ¤29 :)
