It may seem pricey, but with all you're getting, it's really not.

Pros:

+Versatile range and quality of effects

+Uses full analog controls/knobs for tweaking to your desired setup

+It can run on x6AA batteries

+You can switch to presets or manual mode

+Has a headphone jack, which is convenient if you can't play with an amp or don't have one

+has a USB interface, which you can also use to download more patches (preset effects settings)

+Allows recording on the fly of your playing and playing it back for accompaniment

+Has an integrated tuner

Cons:

-Does not include an AC power adaptor (although they include some disposable batteries)
