JF344 : My favorite flatwound string

I like these alot after testing four or five sets of the JF344 and two sets of the JF345 (same strings plus the low B string). They have a woody sound in them that to me mimics the sound of the upright bass, and they are perfect tension to my hands. I know Pino Paladino uses these, check out John Mayer's Where the Light is (live album) for a demo of how these sound on a P bass.

Yes, they cost more than roundwound strings, but they will last for 10 years or more according to online forums. I have bought as many as I have to put on various basses that I since have sold or traded, but today I have TI flats on both my basses. For reference, I currently play blues, blues rock, classic rock, country/western.
