JF344 : Great strings for acoustic basses

I bought this set for my Olympia acoustic bass. The strings are quite soft in terms of string tension and therefore feel great. The only drawback is their lack of volume, but that is simply a physical problem of the light string gauge. The strings are definitely loud enough to practice on an acoustic bass without amplification. They are easy to install, without modifying the instrument.

Being flatwounds, they produce almost no annoying fret sound which is the reason I considered them in the first place. Although relatively expensive, they have lasted several months until now and still sound great. They have a nice midrange and bass content that provides my acoustic bass with punch and articulation without the nasty highend. I enjoy them a lot!
