JF344 : Love them or hate them
About four years ago somebody recommended TI jazz flats to me. Although pricey, I gave them a try, and have never looked back. I now have them on every single bass I own.
They are thinner than many bass strings, and quite low tension, so many people feel that they just flop around. And of course flats themselves are something that suits some people and not others.
Personally I love them, and many others do too, but still others hate them. I'm afraid the only way to tell for yourself is to buy a set.
But when you put them on your bass, don't trim the ends if you can avoid it. Because if you don't get on with them, you can re-sell them and get your money back. Because most TI users like to leave them on for years, so some people will actually prefer second-hand set to a new set.
