NEUTRON : Excellent synth for the price!

I wanted to fiddle a bit more with Neutron, since I had no previous expectations in regards to it's capabilities (ie it's not a clone).

I'm amazed how much Behringer crammed in to this package, especially in regards to patching! I would, without hesitation, recommend it to someone who's just starting with modular synthesis and its concepts!

The sound is great, and you can get very "filthy" bass lines out of it. However it may sound (kinda) muffled sometimes, if you're not careful with distortion and delay settings! My only complain is the short decay / release times of the envelopes in the max settings!

That being said, the patch bay along with a BBD style delay, which sonically fits the rest of the sound, are killer features in this synth. Other great features include the digital LFO, the gradual balance between wave forms on the oscillators, and of course the filter, which is very juicy and "breaks" beautifully when you crank the resonance!

Behringer also provides a special application to further tweak Neutron's settings, which is very handy!

All in all, for that price tag (and much more) it's a great synth with tons of possibilities.
