X-Touch Compact : Awesome stuff for the money
I'm using the X-Touch Compact with Samplitude Pro X3 and it works perfectly via Mackie protocol. Rebinding buttons and knobs is easy, faders feel very good for the money. I'd say that the impressions are very similar to Avid's Artist Control, that is overprices like hell.
The faders might be a bit too loud if you are in a quiet part of a song or movie, but again - it is awesome for its price.
One more thing - it doesn't support HUI protocol, so you will not be able to use it with Pro Tools (in that case go for full X-Touch).
