Pathfinder 10 : Nice Punchy Sound For A Small Speaker Amp

This amp is really well made (chipboard) and is well designed and attractive. I would have liked inbuilt reverb, but that would have made it more expensive and I have a reverb pedal to use anyway. The clean channel is puncy and surprisingly full and bassy for such a small speaker. There are some nice crunchy gain sounds with the overdrive button pushed in, but I found the jump in volume to be very sudden and excessive. Even with the gain knob down low, switching to overdrive boosts the volume a lot. It's almost as though the normal clean channel is too quiet. The amp is designed to be used as a practice amp, so it's not as though you would be switching channels mid song and it will be easy enough to prepare for the volume jump. This is a good sounding 10 watt practice amp at a price that is about right for the features and quality.
