HD-662 F : Good God, What do you want?

I put these up against my Sony Pro studio phones. Result: The Sony is a little more efficient, more comfortable, and the timbre with definition is better. How much better is the issue. The Superlux is good enough is the answer. Would I suggest mixing for accuracy in the studio? No, but you could. Low mid high, it's all there. Comfortable enough to do the job. The non-coiled cord is a benefit as it doesn't get tangled and the effective length is there and ready. My reason to buy these was to use live. The Sony's fold up which a pain compared to the Superlux which is a standard design. Also I'm not banging an expensive headphone around which is a reality in the live setting. The isolate quite well, probably better than the Sony. As an example I listened to music then turned on the shop vacuum without the vacuum being a problem. As I elude to in the heading, what more does a person want in this price range? They work well enough to buy two. And though I haven't tried I am guessing a soft replacement velour pad will likely be of great comfort improvement. But at a cost in loosing some seal. You have to scrutinize the purpose. For my purpose these are a winner.
