TD-1DMK V-Drum Set : You'll improve your time & your grooves a LOT (but not your "power")

Time used: a few months

Pros:

• It has never been easier for me to practice with a metronome (I literally press one button and off I go). I can play any time during the day for as long as I want, so I've also been able to practice MUCH more. So to me, this kit makes a HUGE difference to my playing!! (I(ve used practice pads but they get boring much quicker as they don't allow you to hear the grooves that you have in your head and you need some external metronome).

• SUPER simple interface with only what you need: sound changes, tempo change and volume.

• Very clean (no cable mess!!) when you attach the cables to the bars with the provided clippers.

• Enough different good sounds to find one that works well for you (for me: a dry high-pitched snare, a loud metal snare and a dry low-pitched one)

Cons:

• Like any other e-kit, the feeling won't be the same as on real drums, and you won't be able to work on your volume and strength.

• Volume-wise, even maxed out, you will probably still hear the hitting sound of your sticks, which a friend of mine disliked when he tried the kit. I personally WANT to hear my "real" hits to make sure any delay comes from MY playing (which it always does.)
