HD-661 White : Sounds transparent, very classy and good-looking as a girl's gift

Bought them for a friend's birthday; she tried them, and her father tried them, they were impressed. She's often wearing earbuds at home, and she listens to TV with headphones, so she's happy to have these. She started wearing them and listening to her smartphone right away, with the shorter cable, no extra loops that get in the way.

We talked to her but she barely noticed because outside sounds is very well kept out. My friend's daughter didn't need to adjust them, they fit her head with their self-adjustment despite it's not as large as an adult's head. Had a smile and enjoyed her music

I didn't wear them cause I didn't want to spoil her gift, but I held them 5cm away from my ears, and compared with my old basic Sennheiser HD-202 held at 5cm. The Superlux has more power and clarity, and a more transparent tone. I like the aesthetics, the white color is classy, and more feminine as a girl's piece of outfit. The S-curve between the headband and the driver housings make the thing flush with the head, looks better than those making a large curve around the skull for my taste.

Anyway, since it was for a teen girl I had to pay attention to the looks, and the light weight.

I also like the thick tough rubber wrapping the wires; iPod cables and phone earbuds cables look so flimsy, never trusted their resistance to an accidental pull. But this cable is solid. I lke the cans a lot so I ordered the grey version for myself, will review them in a few days.
