The Drop : Instant downtuning
I feel like chances are, if you're here you're already quite dead set on its purpose. It's a staple for so many modern bands and artists for very good reason. Extremely convenient, and as evidenced by the many demos on youtube the sound quality is great.
I'll just skip to the cons I've experienced using this. Intuitively the lower you go, the quality drops, but it's negligible imo, and even less so in a full mix/live setting. This effect is also more pronounced if your guitar is already in a lower tuning. It is more noticeable in chords than in single notes. Additionally, it seems to affect the sustain of palm muted chords. If you use the octave function, you may start to notice some artefacting/aliasing, for my lack of better terms. Some have mentioned latency, but I've yet to face any issues in that regard.
That's about it, the problems are hardly notable, and it does literally everything else perfectly. If I ever lose this a thousand times, I would replace it a thousand times over.
