I was hesitant about buying headphones as a main tool for mixing. It was a completely different sound, when compared to other consumer headphones, when I first put them on. But the "openness" of these really helps with your mixes. I opened a session I was working on for some time and finally was able to gain stage everything almost in 1 go. You don't struggle with these to gain stage or hear the harshness of the guitars. Instruments separation is very present when listening to music. I really like them for mixing.
