DT-1990 Pro 250 Ohm : Solid and dependable

I've used DT-1990s since they first came out and despite trying plenty of other headphones at twice the price and more, I always come back to these.

My main use is listening to music, generally high quality well mastered music across many genres. The headphones are designed for mixing and mastering so they are very accurate and revealing,

The build quality is superb, better than any other headphone I have had, additionally you can buy all the parts individually from Beyerdynamic should you need to fix them yourself.

Some people complain about them causing fatigue during long listening sessions but I don't seem to have this problem, maybe it depends what you listen to. They do respond well to EQing though so people may want to adjust to make them sound warmer and smoother.

I've used them with the Chord Hugo and Mojo and the fantastic RME ADI-2 DAC as well as directly from a macbook pro, they don't seem too difficult to drive but they do sound better with more power.

Comfort is incredible, nice deep cups, plush pads and just enough clamping force to keep them on your head. The cups swivel slightly front to back for a good fit as well as rotate in the yokes so you get an even pressure across the whole pad.

They bleed a little bit of sound so this is something to consider if you are recording with them.

For the price I would consider these headphones a bargain.
