TB 312 S : Dynamic Swan-neck - better than a goose?

Initial impressions very satisfactory. I have recently installed a pair of these microphones as part of the refurbishment of our local churches P.A. system. They are used on the lectern and pulpit in conjunction with Sennheiser MZS 31 shock-mounts and the initial reaction was quite favourable. As the church is used as a multipurpose hall by groups of differing technical abilities, it was a conscious decision to use dynamic mics so that the mixer's phantom power did not need to be switched on even though a electrostatic mic might have had a brighter sound and a more helpful polar diagram. In the event the sound quality is very clear and there appears to be adequate gain before a howl-round starts. The build quality is good and I like the ability to lock the on-off switch. Nicely & safely packaged in clear plastic cylinders, the mics appear to represent good value for money.
