P-Split III : Passive but versatile
Use-case for now is splitter to two amps at same time, but also the re-amp possibility will be tested soon. Because of the passive implementation, some scenarios are not possible like converting signals to Hi-Z (Guitar) to Low-Z (Line level e.g. recording input), this means that your receiving input still needs to be able to handle Hi-Z. Low-Z can be output as Hi-Z, making a re-amping setup possible (sending your recorded guitar signal to an amp). Other excellent features are the phase switch and ground hum relieve. I did have to look at the online downloadable manual, because it has more examples and explenation than the included paper manual. Build quality looks and feels excelllent, colour-ation of sound is almost impossible to notice when in an dual amp setup, as the dual amp causes more impact on what you hear. Maybe a blind test with individual amp recordings in a lab setup could reveal this, but imo this difference isn't noticable in a dual amp live recording setup. My previous dual amp setup with a EHX paralel mixer (with sends to the amps) was a lot more noticeable because of the added noise..
