Ampero : 5 Stars for the Price/Performance Ratio

I have chosen this unit based on YouTube tests where I found just the Fractal FM3 a little better, but you know the price for FM3 is in a different universe.

I am one of them knowing that real tube can't be replaced by any digital unit, so if I use Ampero in a rehearsal room or studio (which is very little), I plug it to the return of tube amp as an preamp (and turn off the cab sim).

For traveling, quick demo recording, evening practice in front of TV, it is perfect.

As a working musician, even when I had technical problems, I used Ampero as a preamp to tube amp, and used it on a released record. Once it also saved my gig, when borrowed amp didn't work, and I was carrying my Ampero as a backup.

Using your own IRs is great.

I only miss a clean DI output a little, but that's not a big problem for me, also I'm sure the price with good DI out would be higher.

I bought Ampero out of curiousness, and low price, and I could imagine selling it with some loss, but now I am keeping it.
