Nanoweb Custom Light Phosphor : Best strings I've tried

The coatings on these strings make a huge difference. Uncoated strings can not compare with the lifetime of Elixirs. I don't play excessively, so I usually replace strings annualy. Their brightness typically starts decaying after a few months, but even after a full year, sections of the string are still untouched so they don't get completely dull.

The coating prevents dirt from building up between windings and it protects the metal from corroding, which is great because if you don't play for a while, the strings won't have corroded in the meantime.

I have rather sweaty hands, but the strings stay crisp until eventually the coating starts tearing at the section where you strum.
