Sub 8 : Adam Audio quality in a nutshell

This beast is seamlessly matching with Adam A5X series which I have. They are produced to work together, therefore I felt no mismatch at all.

I am using them in my little home studio just for electronic music production in techno and house genre. Having minimal acoustic treatment at home. Adams recoil pads under the A5x's and a recoil pad that I have made from bulk cork and hard plexiglass plate under the Sub8. So Sub8 and the near field monitors are isolated from the surface they stand on. This improves the response dramatically. Makes the use of Sub8 very efficient.

Whole low frequency response is extremely clear and flat. I am using the cross-over above 90hZ it feels very efficient there. As well as clarity is very audible.

Using the Sub8 for more than one month everyday, had noticed no cons for this equipment apart from being large which is nature of sub-woofers. Still more productive if you would compare the volume with dimensions of products in similar price range.

Motorized rotary knobs are really a privilege to have. This way you can adjust the cross-over frequency and sub-woofer volume remotely and see what is the current settings from the front face of the Sub8 itself. Feels so good, and obviously built quality is top-notch.

I would definitely recommend as a must have accompany for near field monitors between 4.5" and 6.5"
