MIC500USB Tube Ultragain : Great interface for home studio vocals and guitar

Bought this interface to add some warmth and character to my vocals and to add a little bit of tube breakup to my guitar before amp emulation on my DAW. For the price and range of functionality, this is my top recommendation for a small USB audio interface.

I am really happy with the results on my vocals. With a decent quality large diaphragm condenser mic, I get a warm, clear, brilliant tone that is a marked improvement from my previous solid state interface.

For electric guitar: the breakup is not a substitute for a good tube amp, but I find it complements my guitar's natural character beautifully. I'm very pleased with the results.

There are a variety of different pre-amp modes, but I'm not really sure I can hear any significant difference between them. The LED peak meter on the top of the device is GREAT, and that together with the -20dB pad renders the limiter functions a bit useless.

The only disappointment is no main out, which previously allowed me to listen to a mix from my DAW on near-field monitors. Now I have to unplug my headphones to plug in my monitors. But considering the rest, I'll deal with it!
