DOD Carcosa Fuzz : Interesting but a bit fiddly pedal

What we have here is a good sounding fuzz at 99 bucks. Couldn't resist this deal, looking that other fuzzes I liked were somewhere in 200's.

It provides 4 controls + a switch:

- Before (seems to boost the input signal, and also is the major static booster if not careful with it)

- After (the general fuzziness control. On minimum settings it'll sound more akin to a distortion, on maximum - all out fuzzy and breaking up)

- Output (I guess this is supposed to be the level knob?)

- Hi Cut (allows you to set how much of the high frequencies are allowed at output).

- The switch (this seems to be full vs. mid-scoop mode).

One of the problems I've faced with this pedal is that 3 of the 4 knobs seem to affect volume, so it's a hassle to level it out properly.

In general tho, this can be a pretty good sounding pedal, if used properly in a proper context. Right now I've not found a good use for it in our doom/sludge band, but I hope to find that tone I want out of it in near future.

All in all, it's a cool pedal that is pretty cheap and well built, so if you have a spare hundy, try it out.

Should probably be great for stoner and other types of rock. For more metalesque types of music - maybe not so much.
