I sweat a lot and my sweat is pretty corrosive, which results in me destroying a regular set of strings within a week (even with using Fast Fret before and after playing)
NOT ANYMORE! With the Elixir strings, I can enjoy great sound and easy playing for months, without having to worry about my strings going dull.
And for those who complaing about porr tone, well, at least with Elixir strings the tone stays consistent for months. Sure, a non coated string set sounds amazing on the first day, but what good will it do if the tone quality degrades a week later???
