ISAR : Solid, affordable mid-range performance

Note that my star-rating applies within the same price range.

First of all, build quality is nice. Construction is plastic but feels light and solid. The pads are really, really plush and thick. Control buttons and gestures work as described. Sound is on par with, say Sony WH-1000XM-series, and so is ANC, but ISAR is more comfortable. Sony can fit on a smaller head better, though (tested with kids). ANC is not a ”sound bubble” unless music is played. As with Sony, compared to real highend headphones, the bass detail and also the sound space clarity are where the differences can be noticed.

Bluetooth just works. Handsfree sound is clear and on a phone call the other party commented that my voice was very clear and easy to hear.

All in all very nicely done by Ultrasone for the price, offering about the same as nearly double-priced Sony, but also not exceptional in its class. It is not high-end hifi, but nothing in this price range is.
