EXL120-10P : ultimate set

Have been using D'addario strings 9 gauge for the most of my electric guitar playing life. Usually playing with a lot of aggression since I stred playing in a thrash metal band, and the 9 gauge strings really went great but the smaller E used to break every third rehearsal( 10 hours of playing lead etc.) and all these in standard tuning. I used at the time a cheap Ibanez RG 270 with low profile licensed floating tremolo which made this whole thing even worse. Since I up-grated into this Prestige RG with a low edge profile tremolo and things were not that thrash any more but it cot more into Progressive stuff, combined with a lower C# standard tuning it all came obvious I needed a 10 string gauge set to be able to keep clearness of the chords, sustain and my guitar in tact. That's when I changed the gauge and voila...Using the Daddario EXL 120-10P was a whole new universe to me, in terms of a trying to get used to make the string sing the way I could with the 9 gauge set...But after a few days the guitar really flourished and I 'll never used 9 string gauge ever again...Round sound, Clear tone and sweat leads. Incredible set.
