AC15 C1 : Vox AC15 review
Personally I did a lot of research and compared other similar wattage amps and decided upon the AC-15C1 for my main go to amp. I will be straight in describing why I like it and why you also may not. This is not the amp to buy if you want super clean volumes and wish to use your overdrives fuzzes and distortion pedals, at least not if you want clean VOLUME. The cleans on this amp are beautiful for recording volume, warm and sweet and can rival the best fender cleans (or smoke them). However, if you want to turn up at practice or on stage your getting crunch... and in my opionion some amazing crunch, the best in its class. I was looking for that perfect garage rock tone, plug straight in and get it overdrive, and this amp delivers with a cherry on top while maintaining clarity. The reverb and tremolo effect are rich and deep. Not much to say except they work excellently and If Surf reverb tones or some Jazz tremolo or fill in the blank, are on your mind, trust me it will do it. The tubes are a pain to replace. You need to take out like 15 or 20 screws and pull off the back cover to expose them. The benefit, If you treat this baby right your tubes last good and long and you'll have this amp for a long long time!
