SC203 : Feature Packed, Solid Build Quality, Detailed, Great Sound

I chose the Eve Audio SC-203 for several reasons & they've lived up to my expectations. My use case is general & critical listening at my desk, and recording.

Features that were crucial: Rear passive radiator instead of a port. This is a sophisticated functional technology that also eliminates issues related to moving air particularly from a rear port - including speaker placement; Grill protected non-exposed cones/tweeters in the front; Built-in USB interface with DSP (with many options, including EQ) & Cirrus Logic 192kHz/24bit A/D converter; Good free field frequency response ( 62Hz - 21kHz) without the optional sub-woofer; TOSLink optical input; RCA stereo input; Size (they're very compact); Included rubberized decoupling pads with 2 possible angles (eliminating the need to buy separate pads);Assembly, testing, quality control in Berlin, Germany; Optional well thought out mic stand adapters; Optional sub-woofer with remote control.

The speakers work really well & I'm very happy. You do have to be careful when handling them to not damage the passive radiator on the back. The only thing I really don't like is the unfortunate decision to use the "Master-Slave" terminology which the industry should really stop (see Dr. Ron Eglash's paper "The Master-Slave Analogy in Technical Literature" for more on this).
