Vintera 50s Strat MN SFG : There's nothing quite like playing a Strat!

I couldn't resist ordering this guitar based on all the buzz around the Vintera Series. First off, this guitar is beautiful: well made, not a sharp edge in sight, and very, very comfortable to play (both while sitting down or standing up). Fender have done a great job here. The neck is very nice... one single piece of maple which, although heavily lacquered, is great to play (although if your hands sweat a lot, you may find it a bit sticky). I really like the SFG colour, which is very distinctive (although, this is always going to be a personal preference). To be honest, I haven't been able to put this down since it arrived... it is just so nice to play. The controls, etc., etc., are all of the quality you'd expect here, and the only "adjustment" I've made is to put on new strings and - consequently - adjust the intonation as required. For the money, this is a great guitar. Although not US-made, for all but the most discerning Strat fans, it'll be hard to tell this Mexican-made guitar from it's US cousins: it is that good. I was tempted to order the 70s model, but decided to opt for this 50s "classic" to own as vintage a Strat as possible. I have not been disappointed.
