9050ML : Fender 9050ML flatwound bass strings

I bought these strings to use on my Fender single coil Precision Bass. I love the old-school "thump" that so many of my favourite bass sounds had on old records. The strings themselces have a nice smooth feel, and the tension is similar to a set of 45 gauge roundwound strings.

The smooth string feel means your frets wont get chewed up over time in the way it happens when using roundwounds. In a band setting the flatwound strings provide a super solid "boom" to anchor your basslines, but they still have enough top end to ptovide a bit of grunt in the band mix.Flatwound strings have experienced something of a renewed awareness in recent years thanks to players such as Pino Palladino. Grab yourself a set and see what the fuss is about.
