.011 Single String Plain Steel : Awesome Strings

I’ve been using elixirs for around 5 years now and can’t recommend them highly enough. They last for an unbelievably long time. I gig and practice around 6 times a month and the string can last over 12 months before needing to be replaced. String strength is great and I hardly ever break strings anymore. The sound, which with coated strings is always the contentious factor, is great as far as I’m concerned. Not too twangy and not too muted, perfect for a neutral sound to bring out the tone of the guitar.

I’ll never use anything else as these fit my needs perfectly and although they aren’t cheap compared to non coated strings, they last so much longer that you’d need to buy at least ten packs of non-coated strings to even get near the lifespan of these.
