G212 Celestion V30 : my first choice
I'm using the cab on regular basis for almost 3 years now. I've gigged with it, I rehearse w/ it at least once a week and it's yet to let me down.
Got some killer doom metal tonez from 2x212 setup w/ another G212 (non Vintage) and my Laney GH50L. Currently I play my JCA22h through it and my tone is rich and punchy. The sound is on brighter side but cuts very well and my leads really do really pop out.
Construction-wise cab is built solidly, metal handles and corners feel sturdy; backplate, input jacks and switch seem to be good quality. The only drawbacks I've noticed are cosmetic: the tolex on mine isn't glued properly on corners and has some wood peeking out. Another drawback is the durability of tolex itself. It scuffs quite easily so if you like your cabs impeccable I recommend buying some cover for it ...just in case you plan to lug it around a lot. I make do with black duct tape on mine :) I've also had to replace rubber footings for better quality ones.
Still best bang for buck cab you can have!
