G212 Celestion V30 : Impeccable Guitar Cabinet

Along the years, I've had the chance to work with over 30 guitar cabinets, as well as own 13 different guitar cabs, which include 412s, 212s both vertical and horizontal and two 112s.

On arrival, the cabinet gave me this impression: robust, clean, good looking, STURDY, well built. I have absolutely nothing to complain about when it comes to this cab. The speakers in it are also legitimate Celestion V30 speakers, which is great. The sound projection of this cab is also great - it pushes a lot of air as well, it sounds boomy but in a good way, Although I haven't managed to break in the speakers entirely just yet, the sounds I'm getting out of this with a Peavey XXX and a Marshall JCM 900 MK3 2500 is killer, the british amp being a bit on the fizzy side due to unbroken speakers. The american-voiced amp sounds perfect straight away, which surprised me. Comparing this to a Marshall 212 1936 equipped with Vintage 30 speakers, I honestly prefer this cabinet - it gives a bigger sound and it also has better resonance.

Bottom line - I would recommend this cabinet to anyone that doesn't want to spend the big $ on a Mesa or ENGL cab, because this one smokes everything in its price range without a doubt!
