G212 Celestion V30 : Great Value for Money

I bought this cabinet to use as a lightweight alternative to my Marshall 1960AV 4x12 cab.

It's been much easier to carry around to jams, and much more practical to fit in tight rehearsal spaces.

I took the feet off and use it on it's side to get a better vertical spread.

These cabs cost the same as buying the speakers individually, so it's a no brainer value wise.

They sound similar to Orange 2x12s with a little less low-mids and low end (the Orange cabs are deeper, wider and taller).

The vinyl style tolex looks nice however the joins at the corners could be a little better as there is no overlap between the vinyls leaving a small gap in each corner where I can see through to the wood. The wood inside looks thick and strong (looks 15mm-18mm Ply) which inspires confidence in the construction.

One of the advantages of this cab is the ability to choose between mono operation or dual stereo. I like to use 2 different amps together and this lets me do so in a lightweight package

In summary, it's a great package and I will be recommending it highly!
