G212 : Best budget 2x12 by far
The Harley Benton 2x12 is the best bargain in the guitar world, bar none. The Celestions are more expensive to purchase separately but the actual cabinet is extremely high quality. Compared to similar cabinets (Marshall 1936, Blackstar HTV212) the projection, volume and thump on the Harley Benton is much, much better.
The construction is solid and extremely high standard and stands up wonderfully to gigging and practice needs - I stacked two of these with a Blackstar head for gigging and it sounded absolutely massive.
The V30s aren't to everyone's taste, but in this cab there is a huge amount of low end put out by these celebrated speakers. They have a very bold and pronounced mid range that slices through in a live mix and the treble is present; ideal for modern rock and metal styles. I actually also tried a selection of other speakers in this cabinet, most notably a pair of Eminence Greenback clones (Legend series GB128) and these are classic rock personified in this cabinet.
Obviously the closed back of the cab helps with projection and bass notes; the ohm values are switchable and the handles either side of the cab make for a very easy load in and out for venues. Recommended.
