GS-Travel Mahogany : Astonishing instrument

I've bought this guitar for my daughter, she was looking for a decent cheap instrument easy to be transported to/from school.

I play and buy guitars since more than 30 years, I've had guitars from several top brands over the years (Gibson, Fender, Blade, Parker, Maton, Seagull, Ovation, Yamaha...), I have to say this little piece of wood is really astonishing in terms of build quality, sound, finishings and playability. A really nice surprise. The tonal warmth of a full-mahogany construction effectively compensates the small dimensions and short scale, resulting in a balanced, full and smooth tone you would expect from a larger and higher-class instrument. I replaced very soon the strings with an Elixir set, that's a default on all my acoustic guitars, and it earned even more tonal pleasantness.

I did some trial studio recordings, just to test what is possible to get out from this "cheap" guitar, and the result was absolutely 1st class.

Finally, it comes with a decent soft case, and that's not foregone for the price.

I recommended this guitar to a couple of friends, for the same purpose, and they were fully satisfied too.

Considering the price, I see no cons at all.
