Sonic Maximizer 882i : Another high-quality, easy-to-use Sonic Maximiser from BBE

24 years ago, I began using a BBE 362NR a stereo re-summing/Noise reduction unit (mainly to clean up old demos that had been recorded to compact cassette at standard speed, & twice the standard speed.

The 882i appears to be a step-up from my trusty 362NR in that the TSR/XLR connectivity and other sonic improvements mean that I will be using this unit to clear up acoustic, electric, vocal & synth patches, & also for mixdown as the bass response through studio monitors or headphones sounds exceptional.

I've also spotted a way to use this unit in helping to "correct" any extreme panning especially with stereo/effected synth pads or guitar multi-effects at the pre-production/tracking stage.

On the evidence of my last few days with the BBE Sonic Maximizer 882i, I doubt that I will leave it for longer than 24 months (let alone years) before my next BBE acquisition
