Smalls Aqua-Puss : Slapback perfection

I use to own the full size version years ago but sold it as it was too big. I fancied getting the small one and yes its smaller than you expect a neat little package not as small as the mini pedals so still feels like a proper pedal. Its about the same size as an mxr pedal maybe even a bit smaller. The quality is good enough with a nice switch. The in and outs are on the top and there is not much room for the jacks and a power supply connector. I had to set its position on my board a bit higher up than normal so that the jacks could sit a little bit underneath board. As I am set it and leave it delay user and an on all the time player I am fine with it. Don't let it put you off though its worth the hassle of that.

The best thing about the pedal though is the sound, especially at slapback settings. So if you set your delay to a one repeat slap like I do you will love it, it may well have that sound you always wanted well it does for me anyway. If you like to mess with longer delays though it may not be for you, I also have the Carbon Copy and that's better for that style of play and also does the slapback very well. But to me this Aqua Puss captures the best slapback I have had from any pedal bar none Set it to one repeat about 9 o'clock on the delay and blend a bit lower for slapback perfection. Longer delays are there of course but it does not take much to create clock noise and oscillation. To conclude it does exactly what I bought it for and I will keep this one forever.
