Micro Terror : Small but angry!

The Orange Micro Terror is like that tiny dog of your neighbours: It´s small, but it is loud. Difference: You will like the sound of the Orange way more, than this nasty bugger´s barking! :)

The build-quality is nearly perfect: It´s made mostly of metal, weighs more than it looks, I could best describe it as: "compact". Everything is in place, it is a solid peace of beauty. It comes with some nice spare decals, too. The only things I dislike (but that seems to be a common Orange-theme) are the potis: They are very narrow and very easily turned, thus resulting into the danger of changing your settings accidently, when trying to adjust only one knob...

On to the sound: Though you are a bit limited by the single-chanel design, the sound you get out of the OMT is very variabel. From full bases to singing trebles, you can modulate via the center tone-poty. The loudness this thing creates is amazing: I do not know one person, that was not shaking his head in disbelief after listening to the Micro Terror. It´s specs on paper are good, but I wouldn´t have thought it would translate so well to real life.

In the end, this is a perfect amp for home practise or even in the band-room. It´s power outage may not drive a big speaker on gigs, but it still is a beautiful little peace of loud gear. Highly recommended!
