SC-Junior Black : It's ok, maybe not special

The SC-Junior is mostly a decent guitar for its price. The pickup is a medium output vintage type p90. It sounds fine but those who want to rock out might want to switch it out for a higher output pickup or just use a boost/overdrive, It's appropriately vintage sounding. The guitar was set up pretty well, the action could have been lowered by just a bit, but still very playable. The tuners seem to be holding tune, BUT quality control was very much lacking on the tuners. One of the screws for the third string tuner was hanging out, bent, and not even screwed in. It literally fell off when looked at. Luckily I had a screw that fit to replace it. Some of the other screws seem to just spin in their holes not tightening to a stop. They are ok for now but the tuners or at least the screws will need to be replaced if at some point they get too wobbly to hold tune. Overall I suppose it's worth its price. I do like it but the bad tuner screws make it a three star guitar at best. Other examples of this model may not have the issue.
