14677 Stainless Steel L/M Bass : Finally a coated string with the sound of stainless!

Imagine having stainless steel strings that sound mildly used out of the box. Most of the "zing" is still there, and it stays there! These strings seems to never go dead! I played the regular nickel ones before and I have never liked that sound, but used them anyway since I was sick of strings going dead after a month or so. Before coated strings I was always a stainless steel player. So when Elixir released these the decision was a no brainer.

Another great thing about these is that the coating makes them a little easier on your fingers. The coating makes them slightly slippery, not in an annoying way, and it makes slides easier and they dont feel as rough as regular stainless steel strings usually feel. A win/win situation.

If you like stainless steel strings these are the ones to have. I have them on 2 of my basses and they have been there for about 6 months. Still sound like they did on the first day.
