Dean Markley has been my brand of strings for a long time. I think they offer good strings with inexpensive prices. I use the regular gauge strings on my stratocaster. They have been very durable and the sound quality is as good as it gets. I love the sound of brand new strings and these seem to last pretty long as good as new. It all depends on how sweatty your hands are and how often you clean the strings. I tend to whipe them clean after every playing session. The DM strings maintain their sound at least two- if not three weeks. Great bang for buck I must say.
