SM58 LC : Great as always!

These mics are industry standard for a very good reason. They are great, robust and warm mics.

I really like them because of the warm tone and forgiving pick up area. I also have a Beyer dynamic V96, which I absolutely love, the clarity and tone is fantastic, but the pick up are is narrow and if you move off axis a little bit the volume drops through the floor! So this means that is is not very forgiving is you move around etc, best to keep this one on a stand. Partly for that reason and the feedback, but I won't get into that now!

The SM58 has a forgiving pick up area, so you can move around on stage, throw you voice in its vague direction and should be fine. Although that said, if you are 'self compressing' I think you will notice a huge change in depth/tone the further away your mouth is from the mic,

Overall, a worthy industry standard.
