T7V : Sounds like it should cost a lot more than it does.

I bought a pair of these monitors as replacements for my KRK Rokit 8 Gen 1s. The difference in sound quality really is very impressive. The T7Vs sound accurate, controlled and extremely detailed, allowing you to hear absolutely everything in your mix.

The signature Adam tweeter gives you the distinctive 'silky' highs, and the woofer delivers tight and accurate bass. The mid-range detail is superb. Placement of sounds on the stereo sound stage is rock solid, with a clear phantom center. I could not hear any unnatural lumps or dips in the frequency response.

They really can easily compete with much more expensive speakers. I had that experience of being able to hear things that I could not hear before with my KRKs (and they even appeared to beat my AKG headphones for detail). At work I use Neumann and Genelec speakers, and these really do compare favorably with those top end models.

Build quality is excellent as far as I can tell.

Downsides? Well these do a great job on the bass, but you may want to add a sub if you work primarily on bass-centric music and want to hear the ultra low end clearly.

The bass and treble room correction EQ controls are quite rudimentary; you don't get any of the advanced correction features of higher end monitors. Not a problem for me, but if your room requires lots of correction then you may want to consider different models.

I didn't have any problems with the rear bass reflex port, but some users may experience issues if they have to place these speakers very close to a wall.

In short, top-end monitors for a low-end price.
