Rokit RP5 G4 : Really balanced and with some kick

Although I do some video editing and very simple music production I am not really an audio engineer, nor musician. I do like good sound though and I own and have owned multiple speakers and headphones. For pleasure and more studio focused flat ones. As I was looking to set up my new office space I decided to go for studio monitors because not only they sound a thousand times better than any other PC speakers, they are generally not fatiguing too . So how did I end up with KRK- I tested Presonus line (3.5, 4.5BT) with Presonus sub8, also M-audio BX5. And well.. Presonus had a tot missing in high frequences but I was generally very happy with M-audio, however they had a couple of design issues although sounded pretty flat and natural. However when I compared them with KRK it felt like someone took the cotton out of my ears. KRKs have such a nice high frequency response. Not only it gives more info, it's not really sharp or unpleasant. The stereo imaging is fantastic so the staging in the end is very effective, the mids are precise and well balanced even in complex rock songs they perform without a fault. The lows are very good too. I ran some audio-tests and they go even lower than advertised but generally are excellent across the range. Combine them with the sub to give a bit more of excitement on lower volumes (Cheap Presonus sub8 pairs nicely too) and you will have an incredible audiophile level listening experience at your desk. There is plenty of bass when you turn them up a little so for audio mastering sub is not needed imho. I cannot think of anything in this price range able to match such combo. The KRKs are build very well, the eq setting works well and what is nice is that you can be 100% sure volume is the same on both speakers.

Obviously the experiences are very personal especially for non professional listening, but I personally cannot find anything to complain about Rockkit 5
