Erupter Perfect Fuzz : The Perfect Fuzz

The letter that came in the box didn't lie, this is the perfect fuzz.

It's set up to have the proverbial 'volume' dimed, and the only knob you get is a bias knob which controls the sag of the fuzz.

The input's buffer is transformer based, so your guitars pickups don't affect the fuzz circuit inside. I have the impression there's also some kind of compression circuit on the input because when playing with the volume almost rolled off on the guitar, it sounded like it did compressor things, but it may have been my imagination. Normally, you don't notice it.

I've tried it out with single coils (T-style and Strat), humbuckers and active EMGs and overall the pedal's pretty responsive to the volume&tone knobs on the guitar and how hard you play. The EMGs are a bit too loud so I have to really turn the volume down on the guitar.

It really shines when playing slide. It gives you that loud and trumpet-like tone that works great with that style.

To note, this is still a fuzz pedal ?even though it's a magical-simply-works one? and you need to work your volume, tone and playing to get the best tones out of it.

Get this pedal if you were always frustrated by how finicky fuzz pedals usually are.
