Custom Line Nashville-Steel : Good value but poor quality
This guitrar is great value but not without flaws. I am on the fence with this one. If you are use to high end guitars, you will notice a lot of structural issues.. For example, the bridge is not flush to the body. The fretboard is poorly glued on. Frets are not all level. There is a loose wire inside the cavity creating a lot of unpleasant buzz. The bridge was sanded down due to what looks like excess glue. The saddle leans forward too much which impacts intonation. Fret ends are a bit sharp maybe due to humidity changes during transport. The lipstick pup is a bit weak compared to the piezo but can be fixed by raising it up a bit - but not too much higher from factory as there isn't a lot of margin. Reslotting the nut is required as it goes out of tune very easily.
On the bright side, the guitar sounds great when plugged in. Piezo has decent volume and the design with an electric pup and piezo is unique in a semi-hollow body. The EQ, tuner and mix controls is a nice feature. Acoustically it is louder than say a fender tele thinline... but no where close to a full body guitar. Is it a guitar worth investing in? Probably not if yours came with as many problems as mine.
